They are terribly plain and boring, but occasionally their stuff is catchy. They won't be remembered ten years from now like Nirvana.

This is true....but you can't expect Dave to ever get the acclaim that Nirvana had.

Yes you can, he just cares more about making boring radio rock for the masses than he does about making credible music.

I think your asking too much of Dave, he's not Kurt.

Yeah but he's a talented musician, even though he chooses not to show it with the Foo Fighters.

Money doesn't mean good music, when will people learn this? It's always really sad when the best argument people can come up with to defend an artist is "Well I don't see you carrying around a million dollars."

Selling out is a terrible argument (no offense) because its a total matte rof opinion and varies with everyone.

I think Dave Grohl has some good music in him somewhere.

First of all he needs to go back to his hardcore roots & find some inspiration in his record collection , hell it was him that introduced me to stuff like Bad Brains & Husker Du so I can't hate the guy for that no matter how many bland albums he makes.

He also needs a strong producer , Steve Albini or Rick Rubin would do nicely. Even back when the Foo Fighters were a slightly listenable he had Gil Norton involved (The man who produced The Pixies).
Also I think he should get some of his more credible friends involved for collaberations. I don't think it's a coincidence the last thing he was involved with that was good was written by Josh Homme.

and he should get back behind a drum kit.
