Technical talent on an insturment does not mean that you have fame and fortune. I'd wager that somewhere out there, right now, there is a guitarist who plays as well as Hendrix, but does it simply for his own sake or is involved in some small project where his talents aren't recognized by anyone. In fact I'd wager that there are many like this. Hell, my piano teacher is probably far more talented than the pianist who plays for All American Reject and he ain't a millionaire.

Fall Out Boy are where he is and they aren't talented musicians.

I don't see anybody disputing the fact he is a talented musician.

Songwriting however is a totally different kettle of fish. And that in my opinion is where he lacks.

Dave is a excellent drummer, decent guitar player, good voice, but choses to make radio rock.

Not really sure bout that one. I heard a live performance of them on TV, and his singing was very sub-par.

Dave has a much stronger voice than Kurt, I just don't think it's distinct enough or particularly interesting. Vocals aside, his music just sucks.

Kurt has a stronger voice than Dave. Just listen to Territorial Pissings.
