it is technically just a movement but people like to call it a genre because it is easier for them. I don't care either way because NWOBHM is very good.

I'm a big fan of Angel Witch. They should have been a lot bigger. I love TANK too even though they sounded a little like Motorhead. This Means War is a great lost metal classic.

You forgot stoner metal its the best kind with songs such as When the Levee breaks (by Led) and Boogie Van (fu manchu). With guitars that go everywhere and nowhere at the same time . this type of metal make drugs complete necessary. Stoner Metal <3
