Default Why Brits are ignorant towards a band Aerosmith?

Aerosmith is a very beloved band among American rock bands, there they have a status of American rock royalty, while British rock fans don't like or don't care for this band. Why are they ignorant towards Aerosmith?

Aren't Aerosmith headlining Donington next year?...Pretty certain that's in Britain

Starting with Permanent Vacation in 1987 they had 5 straight albums that charted either Silver, Gold, or Platinum in the UK - four of which made it into the top 10 on the charts.

They weren't very popular in the 70s because I think they were looked at like a Zeppelin/Stones wannabe over in England.

But those albums were terrible, so maybe England just now has taste. And didn't they hate Zeppelin too?

Permanent Vacation and Pump are great. The overdose of power ballads came after them. England didn't hate Zeppelin. The critics did. They just didn't immediately explode over there like they did in the US. And once they became huge there just wasn't enough big places for them to play.

In 1975 they booked 3 nights at Earls Court and ended up having to add 2 more because the demand for tickets was so high. And that place is pretty big! Those shows were the first time a rock band used rear projection.

In 1979 they drew around 200,000 over 2 nights at the annual Knebworth festival.

No, 80s Aerosmith is hella dull and lame. I wish I had Jamie's gun so I could put Stephen Tyler out of all of our miseries.
