What the heck are you talking about?? The Smashing Pumpkins were less than Nirvana in the grunge scene because even though TSP and Soundgarden were classified as grunge, Nirvana are the ones that made them famous...ignorance is bliss though. Think what you want.
How the hell did Nirvana make them famous? Did they promote them? Did they peddle their CD's on tour? Im pretty sure they never toured together either. And yes I will think that Soundgarden and the Pumpkins were better than Nirvana.

And i'd like to point out you're incoherency for the purpose of clarrification.

"Sp were less than nirvana because they were classified as grunge and that in turn means nirvana made them famous"

Thats the gist I got.

I was a fan of soundgarden and smashing pumpkins before nirvana ever made it onto the music industries radar screen (yes, I'm old, and yes both bands have been around longer than Nirvana) Nirvana may have helped increase the popularity of grunge music, but both bands were successful before nirvana blew up the scene.

Aside from the fact that I don't think they piss on any of the groups listed. You'd need to loom miles above a group to piss on them, and I would say that while their are better groups than the three listed, no one is so much greater than them that they could piss on them.

didnt expect you to think of what i said in literal terms. to me the pixies started off the grunge movement, doolittle surpasses nevermind, siamese dream and superunknown. plus, i just prefer them. though TSP, soundgarden and nirvana are all very good bands i might add.

If you're taking this literally then you only have to be next to someone to piss on them. But yes, I agree that The Pixies started it, even though I don't like all of their ****...

I don't think he meant Frank Black breaks into recording studios and pee's on people. Im almost certain he meant they were vastly more talented than the bands listed.
