I was at reading this year, went down for the day to see Maiden play there. Waited through the day and alot of bands which i really dident like at all. Finally after a set by manson. MAIDEN!! MAIDEN!!! I couldent belive it!

But the moshing was INTENSE... i've been to alot of gigs with intense moshing but this took the biscuit. i'm a big guy at 6' 3" and i can handle myself but sheer pressure of the crowd on me and the heat was incredible. I strugled to keep upright and breathing properly for the whole night there. Moshers just really ruined my evening... i scrimped and saved to get there i really did... but i had to follow my freind out who got his head bashed and lip bleeding by a crowd surfer. So i had to follow him out of the pit. But i wanted to be there so much... in the pit rocking to maiden. I was just feet away from mr steve harris himself during the trooper. Enjoying the music... only to have it ruined by moshing crowd surfing kids who think its cool.

I love iron maiden with a real passion. they are my life for so much of everything i do. Then to have my first gig ruined by these moshers there just to be "cool" and mosh because it what they think metal is all about aargh!

I am seriously proud to say i am a maiden fan and saw them live. Just wish i dident have to view it from the sides after i got forced to leave the pit because of moshers....

i didn't read that he said that did anyone else??..He didn't like any of the bands on stage one, but he had to stay through them because he wnated to stay near the front for maiden, which I call sensible. personally I thought the stage one line up was ****ed..Putting Manson up above all the rest of the geat acts there?? Mansons a tosser, and the bands before him should of been above him..My friend said the moshing wasn't too bad there, he said many people were too transfixed on maiden to mosh, as Maiden are legends and all that, they didn't want to ruin it by moshing. In my experience many people often mosh to bands they don't enjoy because if they enjoyed them they would enjoy teh music by listening to it an dnot trying to hurt each other..Moshing is a bit fo a waste of time, why waste your money going to reading when all your going to do is mosh through all the acts, not only do you see little of the acts but hear little as well..and addidas you hate Maiden becaus eyou have a crap taste in music..
