When I play this song, I am bored to death and I don't mean play it on a stereo. It is really a very boring riff.

Dylan`s version has a bleakness and sounds genuinely enigmatic while Jimi`s version (for all the musical brilliance) doesn`t.

I have a pretty sweet version of All Along.... on a Dylan & The Dead live album it is a truly brilliant version.

I know Eddie Vedder did a cover for the bob dylan biopic soundtrack with some other band. I can't remember what the band was though. I really enjoyed that version
