Mountain

I searched and there was no thread about them 0.o! So lets start some discussion about them.

Im the mr.cool dude who discovered them off guitar hero :P. To me theyre the typical classic rock with a thrash metalish tint to the guitar- nice touch. Good overall band the only thing i can think to say about them is that i dislike the vocals.

Hits:
Apolitical Blues
Mississippi Queen
Boys in the Band

Mountain. Thrash Metal? All I remember of them is the immortal Nantucket Sleighride being used as the theme for Sunday's TV Weekend World.

not entirely sure of the genre but i wouldnt call them thrash metal...

You do know they came out in the 70's? That's why I was questioning the Thrash metal adjective you used.

Really great... the leader singer is quite funny.
along with blue cheer and black sabbath for runners of metal

Amazingly consistant band. Not a bad release from them ever.

They were a heavy blues band - similar to Led Zeppelin or Deep Purple. I think I used to have Mountain's greatest hits on tape b/c I used to love Mississippi Queen back in the day. The lead singer / lead guitarist is Orca big.

Fantastic hard rock band. My favorite songs from them are For Yasgur's Farm and Theme for an Imaginary Western
