Anyone want to discuss any poets that paticuarly piss them off, or poems. Or lyrics, or a paticular genre of lyrics? Hopefully this can be slightly intelligent.

EDIT: For the record, I get more ass then a merry go round pony.

So, what do you think the most overrated lyricist is?

Green Day, Good Charlotte, Simple Plan, All American Rejects. They all suck. Panic! At The Disco, Hawthorne Heights...can't stand them. Emo needs some new material, the "my girlfriend left me" is getting old. So is "I cut myself to see if I'm alive," shit. And the "My parents never loved me." and the "I'm from the street, these celebrities need to take a prozac." As the Clash once said, Death Or Glory, has just become another story. It's people like Good Charlotte who make it so.

I agree with all the bands that suck except Hawthorne Heights. But the reason people listen to the "my girl friend left me" story is because people can relate, people have felt this way before I know I have probably you as well. The only thing that annoys me is that people that live a great life has a girl friend and all the stuff above are now dressing emo. I guess now everyone are starting to look alike and that's why it's getting old real fast in my opinion.

How are Hawthorne Heights lyrics good? The majority of kids i've encountered who listen to that stuff havn't even had girlfriends.

This isn't a fashion debate for the record so I won't get into that.

Hawthorne Heights aren't emo, it's a stereotype. There just a regular punk/pop punk band that's all. Some emo bands I can relate to because my childhood was alittle rough.

I like her stuff, but the 'poetry' I really hate is Jim Morrison's. That stuff is terrible.
