I Saw Jesus Get Strung Up On The Cross and My First Thought Was OWNED
I had no title for this, so I thought I would pick a random phrase out of my head and used it as the thread name.
I wrote with this my friend, who i've been writing with. So her stuff is in pink, mine is in blue.
*Insert Title Here*
Dirty fingers painted with dirt so carefully,
Evidence of work done so delicately,
The planter of flowers, a gardener,
A giver of life, and down it goes,
The seeds leaving his hand,
Falling into the ground ready to explode.
A pink ribbon hangs in his hands,
In some clear moment of perfect stillness,
He admires the work hes done,
The unborn baby, the song unsung,
He leaves the seeds to rest in a dirty bed,
While he thinks of these silly thoughts in his head.
He thinks of his october flower,
The one that quelled his nervous heart,
And he thinks of all his little lullabies,
The songs he'd sing while laying you to rest,
He'd love the bizarre color you had,
A spash of red, with a stab of blue,
There wasn't anything like you.
He thinks of you while walking
Through this garden photo album,
The diamond trees, how they shine,
The empty shell of a house where
He'd find all those memories,
Notebooks full of words he meant,
How hollow it all seems,
Nothing here but a bunch of memories,
And songs he use to sing.
He put you in a special place october flower,
Right in between all his love, placed in his heart,
There was never a thing more beautiful then you,
Though his soil was rich, your roots were flawed,
But he fell for your beauty, your makeup, your lies,
Your roots, they were tainted with anothers touch,
And though he always thought he was your only one,
He was just your cheer me up, the afternoon love,
Your roots, they were tainted with anothers touch.
And october flower, he can try to replace you,
He can continue to try to plant love in his soil,
But your roots, how tainted they were,
He can't love anymore.
