The whole point of writing is to send a message. Whether about your emotions, or politics. It has to be decryptable...probably not a word, but, that's okay, I don't care. If your lyrics say nothing, they mean nothing and no one will care.

Its not about writing what will sell. Its about whats true to you, no matter how worryingly morbid and crude those feelings are. Not everybody likes to write about blossom, the stars and sunshine, in fact im glad he didnt. Its not a very good piece at all, but i dont think anybody here has the right to tell anyone else what they should and shouldnt be writing about. Regardless of the subject, its the execution that matters. Although unfortunatly thats something that doesnt make the cut with this piece, but keep keep going and be more descriptive with your vocabulary, whilst also being less cliche.

BTW, a poem doesnt have to relate to everybody to have meaning. If it has a personal meaning to the writer then surely thats all thats needed.

doesnt mean im a fan of the piece im afraid, you need to work on it and be more methodical in your choice of language. It sounds like something a 14 year old angst ridden adolesecent would write. I've no beef with the subject, but the way you've approached it isnt great. work on it though.
