To Frame Your Heart.
To Frame Your Heart.
I crafted a painting entirely from memories,
Really it was just the photo album of yesterday,
But it was so black and white to see,
For it all was just beauty erased.
So I tried and I tried again to hold it in my hands,
But it just slipped away, like a sand through a sieve,
And you'd think after years of trying to master the art,
I'd be able to hold just one grain, but its hard to believe,
That after so many attempts, I havn't learned anything.
So I thought about it and figured the more I grabbed,
The longer the feeling would last,
But it just slipped away in such a rush,
And how fast I learned who gets the last laugh.
You know, you can hold a memory in your arms,
But a feeling is impossible to grasp,
It just slips away, never meant to last.
