Lets Sail Away

And I think I knew this love before I even knew your face,
It was in the spring rain that gently fell and landed on these seeds,
That were carefully laid into the earth and crafted by you and me,
To bloom into something more beautiful then any masterpiece.

And these nights we spend are as perfect as stars hung in the sky,
Left to dry while the light drips from them and spills onto the ground,
This beauty that they have found in the glow surrounding you and me,
In the simple ease of which we talk and dream.

And some day will achieve those dreams we have,
Of taking each others hands and running away,
To find a new place where no one knows our face
And it will be you and me and a foreign sea,
We'll spend our days on the coast and the nights
In our arms, and we'll grow and begin to see,
Just how love is supposed to be.

This made me think of a fantasy I have sometimes that is predicated on me and my love being the only people left on this planet, and how we would have so much room and time to share w/ each other. Not bad, although I don't see it happening.

you have talent man, i really liked that song. i find when i try write something it doesnt seem to flow and sounds stupid. good work

very good work as usaull, but i will say this, the title aint the greatest. the first thing i thought when i saw it was Styxs' Come Sail Away, thought this is much better than that

Well it was either that or like No Name Number 4? and Lets Sail Away is a line from the Bright Eyes song that this was loosely inspired by.
