Its Weird How Words Can Form With No Real Thought.

Ill draw a heart on the window and leave it on the glass,
As proof that our love was meant to last.

But sometimes I wonder looking at how opaque the sky appears
If the shine in your eyes was more then just a trick of the light,
As the fire trickles down a match to fall and burn my skin,
You're just the falling of the ash, the kiss to quick to grasp.

You're the silhouette I could never fully catch but I think
I've begun to understand, and soon i'll be in your past,
I guess you were right i've always been too sad,
But its funny how such things can be remembered,
After a night of talking, but these thoughts never erased,
They were simply sketched over and its such a shame
That the paints begun to fade away.

And you speak of past loves like they're some sort of
Rose that bloomed and died, oh it was nothing more
Then a simple case of too much or a lack of water,
Its in the past, its all in the past, never meant to last,
So when you taste his tongue in your mouth,
It really never meant a thing, cause this the end,
All the hurt and pain can be erased away by

But don't you see? its hard to deal with you singing
For anyone other then me, and though it never meant a thing,
I was always a selfish boy, and when I see the lipstick on his collar,
I can't help but feel it meant more to you then nothing.

And I speak back the words you've said;

And I guess it hurts so bad because I thought you meant it,
But those words, how many times have they left your lips?
