Default Time to Think

"Time to Think"

White and empty
like blank space.
Gray, and promising;
full; pensive.

Celery stick
Thread on sticky web.
Spider, slanted, falling,
Choking the yoke.

York; New England
Cork in eye.
I think but am I?
Am tired, yes.

Am, are, was?
Lord, I am drunk.
Another tally on the
Black (gray?) board.

White calcium sulfate
Chalk (tape?); body, ground.
Phosphorous; flashes,
Leave me, I am intoxicated.

-Jake V.

P.S. Please respond. Perhaps you can figure out what's going on in the poem as well.

That, at any rate, is the theory of our Constitution."
