If you ever need someone
To be your boyfriend,
Then I'm your guy.
I can pretend better than
Anyone of your friends,
I can write you fake poems
About our non-existent love,
I can sing you songs that sound
So passionate,
But amount to nothing.

You probably think its pathetic
That I'd even take fake love,
But I've become so desperate,
For just a hug,
But I've had a chance or more,
And I lost them all before
I realized what I'd had.

So if you ever need someone
To be your fake boyfriend,
But I'm happy just to pretend,
When I was a kid I loved to play house,
And I'm not much different,
Though today I'm more subtle,
But I'd still cut off my right
