PROMISES
There are times when Your whispers scream to me
For there are truths that You long to teach to me
Sometimes I hear, still I will not listen to Your voice
And so You wait, for You’ve given me a choice
So I know that You are here
My patient Lord, my Comfort, my King
So I will try much harder to remember all Your scars
Lord Jesus, I am Yours

Victory won, yet I ignore the price You paid
Selfishly planned for the sins that I have made
With Your pierced hands, You gave new life to me
Transgressions bound to You upon that tree

So I will listen to Your Word
And I will praise Your name, O God
And in spite of all of these worldly powers
I will give my life to You

There is no shame in the gospel of my Lord
In heaven’s name, the Word will be my sword
And I will march into battle with my God
Remembering that it’s my life that You have bought

Wonderful.

Really, i did enjoy it. tiny little error though. Jesus wasn't nailed on a tree. I'm assuming you did that in the intrest of rhyming but....
