Outkast (A modern version of Funkadelic) (bass, rap, trance, albums)

I would say most definitely heavily influenced and I'm sure Andre and BigBoy would too, all the way from instumentation to costuming. The only album of Outkast's I've put much time into is The Love Below/Speakerboxxx and songs like 'Bowtie' could be straight off a P-funk album if you didn't know better.
Check out 'P-Funk' in Wikipedia; it links the bands and gives a number of Outkast song references as well.

This certainly an interesting comparison. I see where the comparison is drawn. I'm just not so sure as to whether or not I agree completely.
