Default Favorite Soul and R&B Artists from the(90's) Nineties

I just posted on a thread that was titled "favorite soul artists from the 90's" but he was actually referencing the best artists from the last ten years or so... Which would have taken the list back to the early 2000s. I could barely put a good list together because the genre basically cooled off from red hot to non existent in a decade.

Off the top of my head, I can list a bunch of traditional Soul and R&B artists that were hot in the nineties. I am sure I missing a bunch more...

What the hell happened to the genre?

Brand New Heavies for sure. N-dea Davenport is so sultry and her voice is beautiful.

Most of the list that person listed on the first post I dig quite a bit.

He has a brother --Kevon Edmonds -- he also has a smooth and beautiful voice

If you are an R&B / Soul fan and you haven't already heard of these people you might also like to hear :

Aaron Hall- used to be with a group called Guy- he has a great voice
Maxwell
Jagged Edge
Kenny Lattimore- one of my favorite artists- I think he is underrated
Gerald Levert-- son of Eddie Levert of the Ojays- he had a beautiful voice
Barry White and Luther Vandross-- just about everybody has heard of them but I couldn't make a list and not include them
