How much music has everyone discovered through random movies? I haven’t paid attention to soundtracks in awhile, but was watching “My Super Ex-Girlfriend” (Don’t ask) last night, and heard an artist I really liked. I found out it was Susannah Blinkoff. Ring any bells? Found her online and I think her voice and music are great. I seriously didn’t think I would discover someone I liked from this movie, but there you have it.
Ok, so what music did you buy from hearing it in a movie? Movie name and music please…… |

I downloaded Stealers Wheels-S/T album, mainly because of the use of "Stuck in the Middle" in Reservoir Dogs. I also downloaded Urge Overkill- Stull EP, mainly because of their cover of "Girl, You'll Be a Woman Soon" in Pulp Fiction, and a few albums by Dave Dee, Dozy, Beaky, Mick & Tich because of "Hold Tight" in Death Proof.
Actually, when I think about it, every album I've downloaded simply because of the usage of a song in a movie has been in a Tarantino movie, and I'm not even that much of a Tarantino fanboy. |
