I deffinitely agree with The Royal Tenenbaums, Garden State. Those kick!
Requiem For A Dream doesn't have Indie Music, but it is the most beautiful music ever written for a soundtrack. Get it. Any Wes Anderson film has amazing music. (The Royal Tenenbaums, Rushmore) |

I think ANY Wes Anderson film would qualify for a good soundtrack... ah, yes... the person above agreed. And yes, Zach Braff always seems to select good songs.
But, if you delve into some truly Indie films, you will find some truly Indie music. I just saw the Aussie film, "Look Both Ways", and it had some INCREDIBLE music... |

I liked the soundtrack of 2007's "Once".It actually won the oscar for best song with "Falling Slowly", but I prefer "When your mind's made up".
All songs are by Glen Hansard and Marketa Irglova

Quentin Tarantino films tend to have a great mix of music, some mainstream, famous stuff, some lesser-known stuff.

I agree with Garden State and the Wes Anderson ones. I have to say, surprisingly, the OC soundtrack (tv) has some great music on it. Belle and Sebastian, Bright Eyes, Sufjan, etc. Pretty surprising. And Juno, I would add.
