Reposting this from the member picture gallery. I think I captured the spirit of improvisation

I was gonna say this in the Member Picture Gallery, but I really like what you captured in this photo. The angle is perfect and it looks great in b&w.

I'm a Motorsports Photographer and mainly shoot NHRA. Once I get 15 posts, I will try to post up some pics.

I've taken many photos with a wide-angle lens. A Canon EF-S 10-18mm. I bought it four months ago. Affordable, and I like the results.

there's a nice element of symmetry here.

symmetry is important to the human mind when it comes to appreciation.

Hi, I'm new. I agree symmetry is important. What I would suggest adding is some focal element. Focal element is something that person viewing the photograph is naturally drawn to - for example human figure or some strongly lit object. It always helps to improve the image.

Just my two cents.

Cheers

Thanks LiL. I mainly use natural light when taking photos, but you can't really tell how good the lighting was because I was only using a 4 megapixel cellphone camera. That's also why it's a bit fuzzier than it could have been with a higher-end camera. That was actually a photo for a project I was doing at the time.
