does anyone else think Avery's tactics the other day were hilarious. Yes, it was bush league, and yes I'm glad they implemented the rule against it..but I laughed pretty hard when I saw what he was doing. Only imagine if they scored on it.

Thornton finally came out to play last night and at the most crucial time. But that doesnt pay anyone back, that hit was massive. Its a different pay back.

Are you kidding..you really must not be a hockey fan..or even a sports fan in general. How can you NOT penalize someone for that. As someone who loves sports, you have to give the league owners mad props for keeping the game the way it should be played. A big thing in the NHL is the unsportsmanlike conduct penalties. This definitely falls under that, as well as things like diving. This is why Soccer is a disgraceful sport. Players are diving left and right and the reffs call it.

Its the playoffs you can risk going down a man at any time for something you know that you'll get called for. If this were regular season, you know Avery would have been jumped on probably.

How can you penalize someone for shooting the puck over the boards in their own end? How can you penalize a goalie for handling the puck outside of some stupid little trapezoid? How can you penalize someone for touching another player's waist with their stick but not holding them up at all?

It's just ****ing stupid. You can turn around and wave your ass around in the goalie's face all you want, you can even skate into him at full speed and jam the puck in from underneath his pads and not be penalized, but facing him and waving your stick around is a huge deal? Give me a break. You can't pick and choose like that. "Oh, ****ing with the goalie like this is wrong, but ****ing with him like that is okay." It just further illustrates how inconsistent and nonsensical the "new" NHL's rules are.
