Hello! I'm not an espert, so could you explain me what is the difference between grappling and striking, please?
However, I did Kung Fu for 4 years, then I stopped. Maybe in september I'll start to do Krav Maga.

Striking to me is just kicking, punching... martial arts that focus on strikes. Grappling involves more holds, locks, manipulations and the like.

Its like Boxing vs. Wrestling. A striker will be good with his hands and feet... focus on hitting hard. A grappler will favor take downs and moves that favor taking that away. Though of course with MMA, most fighters now tend to be both.

Boxing vs. Wrestling I guess you could say to put it into styles.

UFC 203 was a hoot. The Punk fight went exactly how I expected (although, as a fan of his work within the wrestling world, I do feel bad for the guy) and I thought the main event was pretty fun too.

reading into it all i saw for martial arts background was a white belt in BJJ. Plus his injuries to his back and shoulders... I didn't see it going well at all. Even when announced I thought it was a gag.

CM def shouldn't be in the UFC, but that's Dana White for ya. Hope he can find his place somewhere else. He even said he had no intentions of fighting at such a high level, but who would pass up the opportunity if offered? More $$.

This. I have friends who hadn't watched an MMA event before who tuned in just for the Punk fight. I think it was a bad decision on his part to jump right into the big leagues without any amateur experience, but I can see why Dana White wouldn't stop him. Big $$$.
