it's funny because i don't either. when you're young you don't really realize how it is, or at least you don't concern yourself with it, and then now it's at a point where i attack teams like City and Chelsea for trying to buy their trophies while we're even worse than they are.

I don't have a problem with MU spending what they generate. They were lucky with their success and the timing of the Prem boom but they have done well whoring the brand around the world and spend their own money (there are reasons why I don't like MU but finances wouldn't be up there). Chelsea and MC changed everything though. I'm happy for the MC fans who would have grown up watching MU dominate so I don't begrudge them their success even if I don't like how they have done it.

I can't think of anything to like about Chelsea though.

nah for me it's mostly the spending. especially with manchester united having relied so heavily on our youth program and growing players during our best years. it's one thing to spend the money you generate, but it's another thing entirely to go around and contribute to the growth of football as a business rather than as a sport.

what irritates even more is despite this we still manage to finish below ****ing arsenal in the table. what kind of joke is this? despite how entertaining he is, i will never be happy with Jose's United, he just doesn't build the type of team I feel right supporting. negative football + outspend to win just doesn't do it for me. LVG might have bored me to tears but at least he brought in players that were young and full of potential, seeing it as investments rather than as a stock market.

edit - i kinda forgot about di maria, that was a pretty god awful signing.

I loved Shearer. What a hero.

Second best English striker after Wrighty.

Kane should overtake his record barring any radical decline.

Deadly serious btw. Absolutely unbelievable finisher, one of the best ever. Shearer had more power and longevity, but a peak Wright was a better goal scorer and overall player.

Congrats to Arsenal, though I would have preferred to have seen Chelsea win. Gunners definitely wanted it more though. Not so sure about that first goal, but then, that's all history now. The Chelsea player sent off (name escapes me at the moment) was an idiot. They were just about to up a gear, and suddenly they're down to ten men. Costa is quality though.

agree, moses cost them the game with that silly dive. as solid as he's been all season i never would of expected him to be the reason they lost.

i'm just not entirely sold on him to be honest. i think he allows his emotions to get the best of him far too often, and seems to only show up for portions of the game. subbing him off for Michy was a pretty questionable call by Conte though considering it was Costa who kept them in the game for the most part.
