Default choosing a music software program

Hi--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

choosing a music software program

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hi,
could anyone tell me, what music software program is best for recording? I'm looking for a software that would give me multiple piano sounds, strings choir base etc.. plus special effects, drums, and notation print out of the music, If anyone knows what the best programs are it would be a great help..

thanks
musicmad.

if your gonna do recordings [instruments, vocals], either go with Acid or Cubase, and if your on a Mac use Logic. Cubase actually has a notation page where u can view and play sheet music.

if u want to play piano sounds thru software ... u will need VST instruments, which are virtual instruments, which can be played by a midi controller. You can record the notes by playing the midi controller.

Mixcraft is a great program for recording that comes with lots of cool effects. You can make custom drums on its sister program, Beatcraft, and import them into your mix. Both programs R under 50 dollars but you can also rip them off fairly easy.
