Default Hypderscribe hardware?

I wasn't sure which topic to put this under...so I just put it here... But I've been writing music for a while now, and I can usually beat out the rhythym I want to put down, but I have trouble actually writing it out. I've tried using a midi keyboard, but its very inaccurate when it comes to getting rhythms down (sometimes it adds or forgets to add notes). I was wondering if there was anything I could get that could help me with this? For further clarification, I use Finale 2007 (hyperscribe). I want to attach some kind of USB device to my computer so I can actually play the rhythm I want instead of writing it out. Thanks so much, Oscar.
