Ive been wondering what sort of software I need to make electronic music. The music I'm looking to make would be electronica, something that sounds like Thom Yorke's solo album. I know of some stuff for Mac but sadly I have a PC. So what sorta software or equipment would I need to get started? Any help would be appreciated, this is something Ive been wanting do for a really long time.

Reason 4.0. without a doubt.Or if your looking for something more entry-level and cheap go with Fruity Loops, But Reason is as much fun as you can have alone with all your clothes on

You could also use a cheap Casio keyboard from Walmart, going into a couple guitar pedals, then into a 4 track recorder and do everything manually.
That's how I started. You'd be surprised at how creative you can be with limited equipment. |
