Yea, the distortion will sound glitchy. Perfect. That's where I want it.

More ideas, please.

Meh, it's only recently it's started to be over-used to make everyone sound like a robot.

The way I look at it -

the 80s had the reverby, thin "ball bouncing in a court snare" mixes and the 00s will be remembered for it's auto-tune'd hip-hop mixes. The crappy part is 20 years from now they'll be 00s stations playing all the same crap over and over again.

Well of course I've noticed it before, but it's not been everywhere I go until recently. It's not so bad when you're not hearing it constantly.

And im not fussed about using an autotune to fix your voice if you make some ****ups.

Ok. Thanks for answering the question. I use a Boss BR600 for my home recordings and I've just realized it has one of these built in.

Might have a mess around with it, see if it works. Course, I always sing dead on key, HA, HA.....

Gordon.

Everything has merit in one context or another. You can use just about any over-used effect creatively and breathe new life into stale ideas. Have fun and experiment.
