Noob needs help with mixer

Hey guys first thanks for considering helping…
I have a friend who plays outdoor venues with two mics connected to an rca white and red plug and thin wire combined into an echo pedal and out to his Bose L1 8 two input speaker. I know this is silly so I thought I would help him. He’s not tech savvy and I’m barely knowledgeable so pls be kind as I dunno much and need it explained simply lol if that’s ok…
I wanted to buy him a small mixer like Behringer xenyx 802 but not sure if I would set it up correctly. I have a photo I’ll try post in the comments but here goes…
It has two XLR mic inputs…easy enough
I thought if I used his echo pedal with one out 6mm Jack lead that goes into the FX send (which I believe is an input) I could add echo to the mics when he uses the red fx buttons under the mic inputs to switch mic echo or fx on. Then the L and R main output I thought I could use a 6mm lead to connect to each inputs on his speaker…eg L to input one and R to input 2. Does this make sense and will it work? He also has a guitar but that’s a sep input so no dramas there I get that bit. Let me know thx

XLR Microphones: Connect the two microphones to the XLR inputs on the Behringer Xenyx 802 mixer. These are typically labeled as "Mic Input 1" and "Mic Input 2."

Echo Pedal: You mentioned that your friend has an echo pedal. Connect the output of the echo pedal (the 6mm Jack lead) to one of the mixer's input channels. You can use either the Line Input (e.g., Line 3/4) or the stereo channels (5/6 or 7/8). Make sure you use a 1/4" (6mm) TS cable for this connection. Adjust the gain control on the mixer channel to set the appropriate input level for the echo effect.

FX Send and Return: On the Behringer Xenyx 802 mixer, you'll find an FX Send and FX Return section. Connect the "Send" output to the input of the echo pedal. This is typically a mono connection, and you may need an adapter or a cable with the appropriate connectors (e.g., 1/4" TS to 1/4" TS or RCA to 1/4" TS). Then connect the output of the echo pedal to the "Return" input on the mixer. This setup allows you to add echo or other effects to the microphones when you engage the FX Send/Return controls on the mixer channels.

Main Outputs: Connect the main outputs of the Behringer Xenyx 802 mixer (usually labeled as "Main Out L" and "Main Out R") to your Bose L1 Model 8 speaker. Use 1/4" TS cables for this connection. Connect "Main Out L" to one input on the speaker, and "Main Out R" to the other input on the speaker. This will provide a stereo output to the speaker.

Guitar: If your friend wants to connect his guitar, he can use one of the spare channels on the mixer (e.g., Line 3/4) for this purpose. Use a 1/4" TS cable to connect the guitar to the channel's input.

Microphone Effects: To add echo to the microphones, adjust the FX Send controls on the relevant mixer channels. Engage the FX Return control to bring the effect back into the mix when needed.
