I just realized this is pretty much the new version of what I have on my desk right now. They're not bad, but nothing special. Good enough for playing random tv shows or youtube clips for whoever happens to be in the room but don't expect anything too fancy for movies or music listening. The sub can / will easily drown out the monitors.

To be fair I bought the Hp Pavilion Dv7 soley because the speakers were better than any other laptop. And I hate to admit it im often places or in a situation where I cant use loud speakers and I dont feel like headphones. The sound quality is that of a small boombox. I have never heard another laptop sound half as good as this.

Dont get me wrong I plug into my Yamaha Reciever with bose bookshelfs and a Boston Accoustic Sub any chance I get.

First of all, sex with obviously crazy/broken girls is usually pretty fantastic, especially if they are making all kinds of noise, and second, if you're going to art school, you don't really have a lot of choice but to date crazy/broken girls. I think, if you play the right music, people will think all that noise is just part of the song. Try some Throbbing Gristle or Donna Summer. I know this is sort of off-topic, but hey, crazy girls need love too.
