What's the best MIDI Synth on the market? I've heard great things about the Korg Trident or Triad. Can't remember which one

I once met someone who was using a Novation Mini Nova...It's quite a compact little thing, but the sound from it is absolutely incredible.

I remember looking at it, thinking it'd sound like a regular synth; and, it likely had something to do with the fact he was recording, and therefore punched through some NS-10s, but the sound was very very BIG.

I think they retail for about £300 or something.

Not sure of the best, but personally I use the MicroKorg. Soundbank-wise, its collection is pretty sick for performance, and if you have a soundcard with MIDI-IN you can connect the MicroKorg to your Soundcard and thus use it as a MIDI controller.

I'll check that dictionary, but in the meantime I'm impressed - as is everyone else in the world - by your eloquence, obvious accomplishments and success, and the evidence of your blazingly high intelligence.
