Default Native Instruments Komplete 10 - Routing Issue?

If I were more qualified, I'd totally love to review this product. I bought it and it's insanely awesome. I'm having a slightly totally annoying issue though, and I can't figure it out, so I was wondering if anyone here can help me out... cuz I loathe support lines, basically. :/

I'm running it inside FL Studio 11 Producer. When I open Kontakt or Reaktor (as either an effect or instrument) the playback (and all audio, for that matter) halts if I select the instrument or effect plugin. If I select the channel itself everything plays fine. If you are picking up what I'm putting down here, this means that I can only manipulate the signal either without hearing sound (because the plugin is selected) or externally to the plugin, ie. effects that I drop in the instrument's mixer channel.

I have a feeling this may not make complete sense, so I'll reiterate with a scenario:

Open FL Studio.
Add Channel.
Load Reaktor into Channel.
Open Razor inside Reaktor.
Create line in piano roll.
Hit Play, Allow Loop
Hear Notes.
Click on Razor (to change preset, adjust filter, etc)
Playback FREEZES (not stops)

At that point, I can dial in what I want by adjusting the increments without hearing anything, and routinely clicking outside the plugin to monitor the changes. This is obviously an extremely slow process (particularly with instruments capable of pretty much infinity) and altogether counter-intuitive. I'm positive the makers of this product did not intend this and hopefully it's a simple setting that I don't know about.

Thanks for reading.

The answer to this, for anyone that might be interested, is to route the instrument through a MIDI channel, just like you would an instrument within the kontakt player or any other VST-Multi.
