Studiologic Mididcontroller

Hey everybody, a friend of mine recently came to me with a FATAR Studiologic Midicontroller SL 880 Pro and he did that because I'm working with FL Studio. So... he didn't had any cable for it except the power cable and we brought a midi-to-usb cable for the controller. I've connected the cables to their respective places and I've entered FL to see if the DAW is seeing the controller under the MIDI Controller options, but except for telling me that the USB cable is available, the controller doesn't work at all in the software, but the controller is turned on.

What I want to ask is if I need some kind of driver for the FATAR Studiologic SL 880 Controller?
Or
If maybe someone has/had this controller and maybe the controller is the problem, meaning that it is broken, how can I know?

I want to mention that the USB cable works perfectly because I've used it on another controller.
