Actually, it's 12 beats to a bar and each beat is an eighth note.

The time signature affects where the accents go, it's difficult to explain how exactly it changes the rhythm of a song, but Spoonman by Soundgarden (7/4, I believe, I can't think of any 12/8 off the top of my head) is a pretty good example of how the rhythm sounds... different...

I don't know. It makes music less boring. Somehow.

Yeah, as long as you know the zelda theme and some final fantasy tunes, you can impress people. lol. That and fur elise if they ask for something classical. But everyone I know can play that to some degree.

Hmm.

I'm currently challenging myself to form a medly of several pink floyd songs which can be played on acoustic guitar.. so far I've managed to piece together 'Wish You were Here' followed by 'breathe' then 'time' and back to 'breathe reprise'.. I'm thinking of adding the two parts Pigs on a wing to sandwich these four songs.. into a six-song PF medley! omg.. is that crazy?

Cheers,

Crawldaddy
