Default Bass guitar.....

hey fellow uh ...musicians lol

im sorta stuck in a musical rut here...i dont know what to do or practice on the bass ........

and my teacher is sorta out of town for the month sooo yea...
any suggestions?

I've mostly been playing scales, doing rhythm exercises, and reading some chords
now i think ive playing all the sclaes like a gazllion times and I WANT SOMTING ELSE TO DO!

I know all the scales but I never play them on bass. I could but I dont see the point.
Get tabs of songs you like or, write.

spirit of the radio - rush, is a pretty ****ing cool one to learn, 'tis groovy as **** and fun to play

anything by victor wooten, mind you if you can get through more than 60 seconds of any of his songs and keep u when he goes off on one your a better bassist than i am. - (classical thump, me and my bass guitar, you can't hold no groove ect...)

my generation - the who, but if your looking to be kick ass for the first verse play 2 notes for every 1 note he plays.

anything off the killers album - iron maiden, steve harris' bass rocked and wasn't that hard to learn.

try learning some death metal! Like Cannibal Corpse or Immortal...You may not like it, but it will improve your technique and speed

Jazz bass is pretty awesome. Anybody wanting to get better should check some out and play some.
