the 1962 fender jaguar < I love that guitar. Also, Johnny Smiths are nice. My dad has one from the 60s or 70s (The exact year eludes me), it's real nice. I hear Washburn is real good too.

No one has mentioned Harmony?

I know they went out of business in like the 70's, but I recently rebuilt a 60's Harmony and it sounds amazing.

A Yamaha SG beats a Gibson for tone IMO and I love the sound of a Gretsch.

Musicman guitars defenitely are one of the best, I have a mex strat which I would never give away though
