What reasons do you have for considering piano "the best"? A lot of instruments can be argued to be "best" when used to their strengths.

imo the piano, like most instruments, has both advantages and drawbacks, and this is coming from someone whose main instrument is keys

One person’s favourite instrument can be another’s worst. My great love is for the pipe organ. I have a friend who absolutely hates the sound of any pipe organ often objecting “They have no gaps” Never managed to understand that idea.
For me the organ, (as it’s often called) is the 'King of Instruments' . Keep in mind however the differences between individual instruments and the acoustics they play into makes this a very complex question.
Instance, pipe organs contain different numbers of stops and not all stops with the same name sound the same from one to another. A skilled organ builder makes changes to their instrument according to the space they’ll play in and the kinds of music they’ll be used for.
Here’s a clip that begins to examine the complexity of one instrument.

As to pianos I’m not a huge fan of modern Yamahas finding them on the clinical side. Give me a Bosendorfer Grand anytime. However, singers often refuse to be accompanied by one. Elizabeth Schwarzkopf said of them “They sing over me”.

I play guitar too, so ... heck yeah! I think they are pretty cool. But perhaps it's coolness doesn't always transfer over to the player. I don't know, but I don't feel cool without it.

As far as other cool sounding instruments I would also include saxophones, and analog synthesizers. Any kind of sax (alto, tenor, baritone etc) and any kind of analog synth like keyboard-synths (e.g. Korgs & Moogs), modular synths, and Theremins.

For me the best composition tool is synthesizer because I can emulate piano, guitar etc.. with that. When the song is ready, I can convert the original instruments!

I think the piano is one of the best instruments to learn to understand music theory. I started off playing the violin, but once I started taking piano lessons, I started learning more about chord progressions, modes, and so on. So yeah, the piano is pretty neat.

Acoustic guitars bring that raw, soulful vibe, and they're so portable, you can take 'em anywhere! They're like your best bud, always ready to jam with you around the bonfire or under the stars. But remember, music's about feelin' it, and whether it's guitar or piano, just play what speaks to your soul.
