Default For Every Musician Out There! I have Some Questions!

Hello everyone,

We are developing a platform for independent musicians but we are collecting data from everywhere first. We are looking for different experiences, problems, and opinions from every type of musician. We would really really appreciate a small fraccion your time. We beg you to participate . The benefits that your opinions will bring will be huge.

You can send the answers to:

alvaro@rytmica.com or
betflotec@gmail.com.

Please Tell Us Your Experience:

What is the thing you like the most about music?

Tell me a little bit of your experience as a musician.

What is the thing you like the most from playing your instrument? What do you feel when you play? (or sing)

How often you play your instrument (or sing)?

Have you had problems in your musical career before?

If you had any problems before, in what ways have you solved them??

Have you felt that the methods used to solve these problems satisfied you completely? Why or why not?

As a musician, what necessities have you had before, or have right now that haven’t been completely satisfied?

What are some of the setbacks you´ve had as a musician? What didn´t you like about the methods you used to solve these setbacks?

Is it complicated for you to be able to connect with followers with the tools available today (Soundcloud, Bandcamp, Spotify, etc)?

How important is it for you to connect with your followers? Do you think you feel distanced in some way from your followers?

What do you think about using Live Video Streaming for self-promotion

Would you use Live Video Streams to connect with your fans, promote yourself, your content, and/or receive donations from your followers?

For what reasons would you not use live video streams? Why

Would you pay $2-5/month for a Live Video Stream Channel?

Do you know any other musicians whom I can ask similar questions?

Thank you very much!

Let me guess... you're starting up a live stream service.

I have a couple questions for you:
  1. Have you read our policy on spamming/self-promotion yet?
  2. What exactly are these "huge benefits"?

I'll see what I can do...

What is the thing you like the most about music?

When a good song fades into obscurity, and I can finally admit to liking it without damaging my pretension.

Tell me a little bit of your experience as a musician.

One time, I was singing while taking a walk, and someone called the police because they thought someone was screaming for help. True story. I think that basically tells you all you need to know about my history and experience.

What is the thing you like the most from playing your instrument? What do you feel when you play? (or sing)

I feel my instrument when I play. The thing I like the most is when I'm able to find and play the secret chord that summons Jim Morrison's ghost.

How often you play your instrument (or sing)?

I sing every day. As for how often I play my instrument, it depends on how sore it is.

Have you had problems in your musical career before?

My musical career is a problem.

If you had any problems before, in what ways have you solved them??

By playing as loud as possible. That way, it's so noisy that nobody can make out how bad I actually am.

Have you felt that the methods used to solve these problems satisfied you completely? Why or why not?

Haven't heard any complaints so far. Haven't heard much of anything at all, now that you mention it...

As a musician, what necessities have you had before, or have right now that haven’t been completely satisfied?

I need a bowl of brown m&ms before I play a show. This is a must, but so many venues just don't get it.

What are some of the setbacks you´ve had as a musician? What didn´t you like about the methods you used to solve these setbacks?

Well, the whole 'lack of talent' thing was a setback at first, until I learned to just stop giving a damn. Seems to be going alright so far.

Is it complicated for you to be able to connect with followers with the tools available today (Soundcloud, Bandcamp, Spotify, etc)?

I don't like to connect with followers. I prefer making friends with trailblazers.

How important is it for you to connect with your followers? Do you think you feel distanced in some way from your followers?

Stop talking about followers. Unless you're talking about those cultists that worship me... yeah, I guess those guys are alright. We hang out every now and then. My connection with them is pretty bad, ever since my router started to crap out.

What do you think about using Live Video Streaming for self-promotion

Streaming? Like, pissing during a live broadcast? No thanks... to each their own, but I'm not into that.

Would you use Live Video Streams to connect with your fans, promote yourself, your content, and/or receive donations from your followers?

No means no... wait, "donations"? You mean, people would actually pay me for it? Well, I guess spewing waste at people is pretty much what I'm already doing with my musical career, so it wouldn't be that different... I'll think about it.

For what reasons would you not use live video streams? Why

Man, you're really into this stuff, aren't you?

Would you pay $2-5/month for a Live Video Stream Channel?

No thanks.

Do you know any other musicians whom I can ask similar questions?

Frownland. He loves streaming. Go ahead and drench him.

In every song, there is a message to be shared. Music just adds to that message giving it emotion and giving people a reason to listen to the message.
