Every once in a while, VH1Classics plays a movie about
“Jimi Hendrix: Voodoo
Child” (Bootsy Collins voices Hendrix's postcards/letters to his father.) And then they'll play a movie about The Monkees. Mike Nesmith was so jazz'd to be touring with Jimi thinking it would make his band taken more serious by Rock fans, then Jimi gets boo'd - the plans of mice and men. I like the two perspectives on the same event, the two movies intersect at that point.
