Yes, it does but the media still have a responsibility to protect their audience, especially the younger audience that is the music industry (look at the sexualisation of Rihanna in the X Factor final) and they have to keep with in strict guidelines, i.e. broadcasters through Ofcom, newspapers through the PCC etc... they also have moral responsibilities.

They have all of those rating boards in place to "protect" their audience even though I feel that it's the parent's job and responsibility to monitor what their child is listening to and watching not to pawn it off on other organizations to decide what's best for their own child.
