We'll continue with the emergent Chilean indie scene later on, but now we go to the neighboring country. Let's take a listen to the 60's Peruvian rock.

* Los Saicos (1964-1966). Despite its short career, this was a very influential band. At the time, its style was really original (some call it "pre-punk"). DemoliciĆ³n ("Demolition") and El entierro de los gatos ("The Cats' Funeral"):

* Los Shain's (1964-1969) and Los York's (1966-1974), two outstanding bands from Lima. Rock-&-roll and Psychedelic rock.

* And a young band with a revival style: Los Protones.
