Actually Ten was released a month before Nevermind so the wake is going the wrong way but everything else you say is spot on.
Release, Why Go?, and Once are the tracks that do it for me the most.

I mean really... a Ricky Ricardo sound byte at the start LuuuuuCCCYYYY!!! EVERYTHING about that tracks reeks cheeseball hair metal. It doesn't sound like a B-side to Appetite for Destruction, it sounds like an original tune by a Iggy and the Stooges cover band playing it very safe.
