You're mentioning of Canadian bands and the Beatles reminded me of Klaatu's
Sub-Rosa Subway and all the rumors that they were the Beatles in the early 70's.
The rumor is clearly BS, but the song is about as Beatlesy as anything released by someone else. The vocals, the instruments and the arrangements, ect...
