Its not just the speed that SRV plays with. Its the vibrato and overall passion that flows out of his music. Not taking anything away from BB King, just imo SRV ftw. Of course BB was before SRV but im not talking who was first. Hendrix did "Little Wing" first but I would have to say SRV's cover of it was better. Of course kudo's to Hendrix for coming up with it in the first place. But I think even Jimi would would tip his hat in appreciation to the way SRV played it. The same with BB King as well and his playing. I just dont think that there is really any question as to who the better blues guitar player was.
