Yeah , but the french probably exercise a lot more. I imagine they bike/walk to places a lot. They also allow for longer meals during the workday, allowing time for healthier meals. Pastries are better than a constant intake of meat which is the American culture.
So many variables.
I'd also say that the French are probably having a large increase in their obese population as well.
But your totally right about feeling satisfied with less food if it's actual nutrition.
