Have done it many times. Although I've only tamed them to be decent cats that stayed outdoors, and therefore still went hunting and brought back rodents and rabbits and stuff, they acted like regular cats when around humans.
The difference between those cats and house-born cats are the house-born ones will be sh*tty at the natural things wild cats are good at, obviously.
House-born cats probably stand less of a chance at learning the real world and surviving than wild cats stand just surviving in the suburban wild.
