I'm sure you could, but that's not the point. She has a great voice, she made some great albums at a time when most black soul artists were still very much singles based and paved the way for those artists to concentrate on making great albums instead of singles in the years that followed.

I at least think Marvin Gaye deserves to take her spot..C'mon he released four back to back ground breaking soul albums that did well commercially and critically.. It's mostly one or the other..
I still haven't heard any R&B albums that topped these..
