I had to vote for Metallica, even though Iron Maiden's "Killer" was one of the first vinyls I ever bought. *ahh.. memories....*

I dunno, they're both awesom groups and it's tough trying to decide which one is "better" but in the end I chose Metallica simply coz I still listen to them a lot compared with Iron Maiden.
