Elvis and Johnny Cash both started in Rockabilly. Johnny Cash went on to do mostly Country. Elvis did some Country but was known to do songs in Rock, Pop, Gospel and other genres as well. Elvis is known more as Pop singer and Cash as a outlaw Country singer. It's almost parallels the Eagles/Dwight Yoakam Country Rock debate.
